Salvaged Images (click for quality!)

Okay so I got into analog photography like 2 months ago with a kind of cheap-o camera my sister gave me for Christmas. Severely fucked up a three-pack of film (SIGH!), but here are my best ones from that. It was a learning experience, really.

First Roll (Early January); total novice IDK how it worked at all.

Honest to god, this was like the only one that ruled. Reagan pedestrian walkway that connects Terminals A and B which is about a mile apart. I was picking up my sister because she had a lot of bags. January 10th, I think? Like why was this tunnel so gorgeous?

Second Roll (Late Jan to Early Feb); a few excursions and nice sights

Cool silhouette at Rock Creek Park, which is more trail than park... I was severely overdressed and walked for miles and miles until I was dehydrated and went to a nearby target on the other side of the park. It was kind of a bad day, in retrospect!
Old Town in Alexandria. I'd been by the water before but walking through the neighborhood itself was so nice? I bought overpriced fabric that day (now a nice if not wonky shirt) and sweat through my jacket. It was the first bright day out in a while.
The US National Botanical Garden— bit dark for the ISO but I liked this one anyway. I went in because it was the only place on the National Mall that was open after a snowstorm. I wish you could see the plants a bit more, I liked the juxtaposition. It's nice and warm in the big, tropical plant area but this little off-shoot of a shed framed it well I think.

Overpass train tracks just south of L'Enfant Plaza. I want to ride the VRE so bad but I have no real reason to go deep into Virginia like that.

Third Roll (February); some visitors
The National Gallery rink! It just closed up for the season (as of writing it is now March), but I went to it a lot and skated. On this day the weather was actually vile! But look at those clouds.
My good pal Linette and I have always gone ice skating together. Was thrilled to hear a school flew her out and that she had a few hours to spare between all the introductions and niceties engineered to coax her into picking GW.

The visiting Bautistas at various DC landmarks: Union Station and the Capitol building respectively. It was so fun to have them over. I like having the three of them in frame because these are the main inhabitants of my childhood home nowadays. Angela's like an only child. It's cute to see the three of them and imagine what daily life looks like for them. It's been a long time since I was home.

It was really good to see them.

At the Air and Space— Mom had just bought this yellow hat from the gift shop because it was cute and she'd "never had a yellow hat before...!"

Here she is at my favorite Café Subway... it's a normal subway but kind of dingy and underground. I have no idea why they call it that, but I love it a lot. Had to have a picture of my favorite person in my favorite place.

So yeah that's literally all the photos across like 108 exposures that I am willing to share publicly. Doing better on this next one I hope, though I got it ISO 400 and I've maybe been misusing it on days brighter than recommended. I also want to get a better camera at some point, but only when I feel it's really worth it. I'm exploring a bit more, sure,  but I like taking pictures of my friends, and I have few here.

We will see...
